Owner’s price hopes trounced

A SUITE of Thornleigh offices bought from the Meriton group by an offshore Chinese investor nine years ago has sold for $2.45 million.
The sale, is $245,000 above the owner’s initial asking price.

The second-floor suite is part of a 28-title retail-commercial project at 295-299 Pennant Hill Road.

It was put on the market in 2016, via a Thornleigh agency, at $2.2 million.

Meriton re-sale agent Jeff Liu listed the property six weeks ago and has sold it to a private investor.

The offices, which come with 10 basement parking spots, are leased to a software company until June 2021 at $235,565 a year.

Harry Triguboff, the Meriton founder, yesterday said the sale was an illustration of his team’s ability to re-sell clients’ properties at premiums, or profits.

“We achieve that with their apartments so it’s great to be able to do it in a commercial sense too.”
