Selling fast and one step closer towards Dee Why’s revitalised town centre

Construction of Lighthouse, Meriton’s ground-breaking $500 million development 800m from Dee Why beach, is right on track. The suburb’s brand-new town centre is set to open later this year – and it is looking spectacular already.

Right in the heart of Dee Why’s rejuvenated and cosmopolitan beachside village, the scaffolding has started coming down around Lighthouse. This major milestone in the development is revealing an innovative high-quality architectural landmark with shimmering louvres and double-height colonnades, soaring 17 storeys above the surrounding streetscape. Lighthouse’s curved balconies accentuated by framed glass overlook unrivalled and unobstructed panoramic views of the ocean, beach and Dee Why lagoon.

So far, the 17-storey tower – the tallest of Lighthouse’s four buildings – is well on its way to completion having climbed to a height of 11 storeys. Meanwhile, the remaining three towers have already reached their maximum heights with one standing 16 storeys high and two at 6 storeys.

The four-tower Lighthouse development will deliver a vibrant focal point for Dee Why – one of the best Northern Beaches hotspots – by combining upmarket retail, a 3000sqm piazza-style dining precinct, luxury residential living, two childcare centres, and artistically landscaped open spaces. Major retailers joining Dee Why’s new and fresh community hub will include Woolworths, NAB, CBA, Crunch Fitness, Three Beans Café, Hero Sushi, Guzman & Gomez, Grill’d, Wok On In and Rashays.

The precinct, which is projected to be one of the largest retail projects in the Northern Beaches, will have 16,000sqm of both commercial and retail space.

Meriton intends Lighthouse to be a community focal point having committed to several community contributions. These include: –

  • The new town centre square will be made available to the Northern Beaches Council for community events for 30 days a year.
  • Extensive parking (550 car spaces) which will service shoppers
  • Lighthouse’s full frontage to Pittwater Road has been dedicated, without cost, to the council/Transport for NSW to facilitate the Northern Beaches B-line having a major town centre stop.
  • More than $1M in funding for road upgrades and other civic improvements in the area.

Sales of Lighthouse’s 351 one-to-three bedroom apartments have passed the 50 per cent mark and the buying pace is picking up. Lighthouse marketing agent Chris Stathakis says more than 80 per cent of sales in the past few weeks have been of three-bedroom and three-bedroom-plus-study apartments.

Chris says this buying is largely driven by strong empty-nester demand for the higher-end stock, with investor interest on the rise as Lighthouse’s quality and its premier location become evident.

It’s not surprising these bright and exquisitely appointed Lighthouse apartments are stirring so many buyers within Dee Why’s dynamic location. Meriton is thrilled to be undertaking the first significant development in the area for years and to be offering a unique blend of residential, retail and commercial in a sought-after location close to some of Sydney’s best beaches. An opportunity not to miss.

Those moving into Lighthouse will enjoy the best in luxury living, entertainment, and lifestyle. Lighthouse residents will also have resort-style escapes in the form of state-of-the-art facilities including a stunning indoor pool, spa and sauna and a fully-equipped gym.

Public artworks, a native palm avenue, gardens and an entertainment stage are all integral parts of Lighthouse’s all-inclusive community atmosphere and will soon be open for everyone in the surrounding area to enjoy.

So, the countdown is on. Later this year new residents and existing locals alike can look forward to a revitalised Dee Why town centre as Lighthouse takes centre-stage as the area’s newest cultural hub – a place for everyone to meet, eat, shop, relax, and socialise.
