If you drive along the M2, you can’t have missed them. The three tallest towers by Meriton at Macquarie Park, boasting never to be built-out views over Lane Cove National Park, the CBD and surrounding district.
Trilogy, a premier island site just footsteps from Macquarie Business Centre which is the second largest business district in NSW.
On Wednesday, Harry launched Trilogy in the name of his late wife, Rhonda.

In his speech at the launch, he credited Rhonda with the growth and size of Meriton.
“I have always said that I owe my size to Rhonda,” Harry said.
“We didn’t go out much because of my work but she was also very interested in the projects and making sure they worked. We had a lot in common.
“After I met Rhonda, we started to move faster and she never resented not going out much. Like me, she was very committed to Meriton,” he said.

Harry went on to talk about succession and the importance of commitment from sub-contractors to get the job done.
“Some of the guys here today reminded me that when we started this project I was hoping I would still be around when we finished. I am still around and we have finished so that is very good.”
“I delegate a lot more these days which is very important to our success. Of course, I still make decisions but I am less involved in the detail.
“When my grandson Daniel was a little boy, I told him he was the chosen one. My two daughters were not really interested in the business so it was all up to Daniel. He grew up with the knowledge he had to do it and he seemed very happy about that. He is doing an excellent job.
“I look around and see a lot of staff and subcontractors here today. The fact they are familiar faces is very important for them and for us. From the day we started to build we saw the problem. They never knew what job was coming next. Sub contactors had no security. I made sure there was job after job for my guys and them. And look now. We have stuck together and we are now dealing with the third generation of these same sub-contractors.
“But most importantly today, I appreciate how much Rhonda accepted the importance of my business and how much time I spent in the business. She accepted we didn’t go out much but this beautiful development is the result, so that is why I have called the building Rhonda.
“The beautiful dedication downstairs at the front of the building is very appropriate and recognizes and acknowledges her contribution to the Meriton success,” he said.
