At Meriton we are able to assist clients in purchasing a Meriton apartment by offering a low-cost mortgage loan. Whether you are a resident or non-resident, investor, owner occupier or self-managed super fund, Meriton Property Finance will gladly consider your application for credit assessment and approval

  • Residential – 4.75% interest rate for 2 years (NSW comparison rate 4.85%, QLD comparison rate 4.87%), up to 90% lend
  • Commercial – 6% interest rate for 2 years (NSW comparison rate 6.1%, QLD comparison rate 6.12%), up to 80% lend
  • SMSF – 4.75% interest rate for 2 years (NSW comparison rate 4.85%, QLD comparison rate 4.87%), up to 80% lend

Why Meriton Property Finance?

  • Meriton Property Finance may offer up to 90% finance of the purchase price (not valuation) based on your financial situation and borrowing objectives. We consider all eligible sources of income to guide you towards the highest borrowing amount you may be eligible for, subject to approval.
  • Once your loan is approved,  the borrowing amount and interest rate are locked in before you exchange contracts providing greater certainty on your approved loan terms ahead of settlement, subject to loan conditions
  • Greater certainty for Off-the-plan purchases. Meriton finance approval is valid until settlement, which can be up to 24 months. Unlike Bank approvals, which are only valid for 3 months
  • Upon the expiry of Meriton Property Finance term and subject to the lending criteria in the market, borrowers may be positioned to refinance .

  • Our in-house finance team can approve loans within 2 business days in most cases, unlike banks who can take many weeks

How it works

Once you have applied and your loan has been approved, the interest rate is fixed and the approval is valid until you are required to settle. Unlike a traditional lender, Meriton does not adjust the interest rate on any loan after it is approved. Once you have settled, loan interest payments are debited by direct debit from your nominated bank account on the first business day of each month. Pre-payment of monthly interest and lump sum principal reductions are allowable.

You may discharge your loan penalty-free at any stage. The loan period may be extended beyond the 2-year term, subject to Meriton’s absolute discretion and further terms and conditions.

What does it cost?

An application fee of $1500 applies to standard applications, and $2500 for SMSF applications. The applications fee is required to be paid at time of lodging the application and all necessary documentation. This fee is refundable if the application is declined.

How to apply

Simply contact Meriton Property Finance or download the application form below. You must also download and read the Credit Guide before applying. Once your application form is complete, post your original application to Meriton Property Finance with $1500 and any supporting paperwork. You will receive a response within 2 business days.
